About Cierra

I won’t lie, writing this has been challenging. I’m not typically one who likes to talk about herself. I’ve struggled with formalizing words to describe myself to readers ─ going back and forth on ways to gracefully introduce myself to you.

After days of telling myself that I need to get this done, and thinking about it often, the Holy Spirit told me to "just do it." He reminded me this isn't a place to showcase perfection; this is a place to be real and share His truth. I'm grateful for the sweet presence of the Holy Spirit, and how he leads me even when my flesh is strong and prideful. So, without further ado here’s a little about me.

My name is Cierra. I am the perfect combination of Whitley Gilbert and Winifred “Freddie” Brooks. Both fictional characters from the late 80’s TV show, A Different World, which is one of my favorite shows ever! If you’re unfamiliar with the show, think bad and bougie meets hippie.

I married my best friend in November 2014, and in July 2017 we welcome our baby girl. I am a career loving wife and mom, working every day to find a healthy cadence of it all. I enjoy many forms of creative expression: reading, shopping, writing, praying, organizing, volunteering, telling others what to do, and so much more.

I am excited to share the Word of God through scriptures, stories, and experiences in this space. I look forward to interacting with other women as we all grow on this path to restoration, healing, peace, and joy.
